TCM Teak deck and Wood Protective UV+
Transparent - one component coating including Ultra Violet absorber TCM Asia-Teak deck UV + protects materials and surfaces, to which it is applied, against soaking with water – at the same time this surface remains actively able to breathe – and therefore thus prevents the treated surface from absorbing water, from rotting and also against expansion and distortion. It gives a deep protection to the surface against water and moisture, even if the water does not run off any more. The pearling-off effect can easily be regained by simply retreating the surface (An application every three monts iis advisable under Thailands harsh UV properties). Properties: · No oils, no conventional paint – this means that the treated surface remains optically unchanged · Nano particles enclose the fibers of materials and surfaces and protect the wood and it remains: ->Actively able to breathe ->Has a deep protection against water/moisture absorption ->Water and Oils “pearl-off” the materials and surfaces, and cannot seep into the wood · Gives protection against mosses · Is resistant against the effects of seawater/saltwater and against sea/salt air, and acid rain · Provides stability against the effects of Ultra Violet light and rays · Is free of silicones, wax and oils · High productivity / Highly effective, owing to the extremely thin coating: With only one liter a surface of up to 20 m² may be treated Other Areas of Application: · The impregnation of all untreated, and also oiled and waxed wood surfaces is possible · Protection of valuable garden furniture, sheds, window frames, and even terraces · The impregnation of synthetic and natural fiber materials such as those of sun blinds,    sunshades and umbrellas, the hoods of convertible automobiles, etc… · A protection against the effects of mosses and also against dirt when applied to roof tiles,   the tiling on terraces, on paving stones, etc... · Furthermore this product may be used on concrete, concrete bricks and tiles, natural stone,   paving, glass, plastered surfaces, ceramic products, tiled areas which have been grouted, on   fibrocement, etc… Applying the Coating: The application of this protective coating is “child’s-play” – it can be achieved by painting, rolling, or by spraying. Because there is no optical change to the materials/surfaces coated, there is no need for bordering surfaces to be masked (i.e. rubber sealing etc.). When applied to very light colored woods it is possible that a very slight “honey-tone” may be the result. There is no “running or dripping” when working with this product – excess coating will merely “pearl-off” and dissipate into the atmosphere. The surface to be coated must be completely dry and clean before application of the coating. The maximum humidity of wood may not be above 18%. Before use the coating should be well shaken. Do not return the coating to the original container once an amount has been taken out and used! All containers and utensils which have been used for work should be thoroughly cleaned and washed in water. At a temperature of 15 to 20 degrees Centigrade the coating is dust-dry after about 1 to 2 hours – and after about 4 hours is water resistant and also has achieved the “pearling-off” properties.
Uses of the Coating Indoors: This coating may be safely used indoors without any damage to health, persons or animals. Especially after the drying time, with correct use and application, the treated surfaces coated with TCM Asia-Teak deck protective emit no dangerous fumes or gases which could be of danger to persons or animals – or to the health of these.
Safety information and instructions: The disposal of this product should only be undertaken at special collection/disposal points. Never pour any remains of the product into the drainage system! Do not eat/drink this product and do not breathe in the fumes before or during application. Protect against contact with the skin and also the eyes. In the event of accidental consumption – consult a doctor immediately. In the event of contact with the eyes – wash liberally out with water. Storage: This product may be stored for a minimum of six months in a dry, and cool storage place sealed in the original container. Prevent from frost.
